Not many people associate mountain resorts with fishing, but Hakuba Valley does have it’s own artificial fishing area. Located across the road from the Olympic Sign in Happo, Nire-Ike offers freshwater fishing to amateurs and pros alike.

Stocked with a range of fish (Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Sakura Trout, Charr Fish and Brook Trout), there are areas for families to enjoy, as well are a larger area for lure and fly fishermen to battle.

Bring your own equipment, or rent on site.
